The concept of the building–park represents a complex orthogonal surface—a habitable rooftop landscape structure that covers the entire territory of the competition site, without clearly defining boundaries or functions between building and park.
From Troykata Square, visitors can choose between two different directions. The first leads “downwards” to a secluded plaza–park space offering areas for recreation and social interaction, enriched with decorative vegetation and water features. This space allows for outdoor exhibitions and other innovative contemporary art forms. The route concludes with a monumental entrance space to the cultural building.
The second direction leads “upwards” to a terraced structure that forms the roof of the complex. The landscape aesthetic is conceived in the spirit of a natural, uncultivated environment. Nature “takes over” the architecture, and the boundary between the rational structure and the park becomes blurred.
Starting from the level of the square, visitors ascend to the highest point of the surface (near Baba Ganka Square), then follow a gently descending path back toward the square and the area with mature tree vegetation in the northwestern part of the site. The terraced green zone serves as a place for discussion and informal gatherings, as well as a space for multidisciplinary projects.
On the side of San Stefano Street and toward the future multi-storey residential building, the project surface rises from the plot, forming a suspended glass façade. From this side, access to all service functions is provided, including the entrance for artists and management to the Cultural Space, as well as the entrance to the Administrative Services Zone.
